There’s a point every year when the poker calendar starts filling itself in, and Cambodia has quietly become one of those fixed reference points. Early 2026 is no exception, with the World Poker Tour returning to NagaWorld in Phnom Penh for another full-scale festival.

WPT Cambodia 2026 will run from January 21 to February 9, backed by a $3.5 million total series guarantee. It’s a noticeable step up from previous editions and a clear sign that this stop is no longer treated as an experiment.

The Overall Shape of the Series

Rather than leaning entirely on one headline event, the Cambodia schedule spreads its weight across a long festival window. That means:

  • Multi-day Championship events

  • Daily side tournaments

  • A strong High Roller presence

  • Near-daily PLO and mixed-variant options

The result is a series that works whether you’re staying for three weeks or dropping in for a few days.

Championship Events at the Core

WPT Prime Cambodia Championship

  • Dates: January 30 to February 3

  • Buy-in: $1,100

  • Guarantee: $750,000

  • Format: Multiple Day 1 flights

The Prime Championship offers a lower entry point with several chances to build a stack before Day 2, making it one of the most accessible headline events on the schedule.

WPT Cambodia Championship

  • Dates: February 4 to February 9

  • Buy-in: $3,500

  • Guarantee: $1.5 million

From Day 2 onward, levels extend to 90 minutes, a structure that tournament director Danny McDonagh described as the strongest WPT offers globally at this buy-in level. The emphasis is clearly on depth rather than speed.

Side Events, High Rollers, and Variants

Outside the Championship events, the 2026 schedule fills out quickly:

  • A $250 Early Bird Megastack, starting at 10:00 AM

  • The returning $250 Megastack, which drew large fields in 2025

  • 15 High Roller events, with buy-ins ranging from $1,650 up to a $20,000 Super High Roller

  • A $10,000 Single Day High Roller for players short on time

  • A new $2,200 Survivor event, where the final 20 percent of the field immediately receives a $4,000 bounty chip

For players who prefer four cards or controlled chaos, Pot-Limit Omaha events run almost daily, including 5-Card PLO, Big O, and Double Board Bomb Pot formats.

Expanded Satellites and Schedule Adjustments

McDonagh summed up the 2026 approach as a mix of “continuity and adjustment.” Popular events like the $600 Championship Warm Up return, but the biggest change is in how players qualify.

Instead of satellites feeding only the Main Events, players can now qualify into eight different tournaments, including select High Rollers. Across the series, 84 Championship entries are guaranteed through satellites.

Online Qualification via WPT Global

Qualification doesn’t start in Phnom Penh. WPT Global is running online satellites with buy-ins starting from $0.55, offering players a route to $4,000 live packages.

Golden Ticket bonuses are also available through the online route, giving qualifiers additional value before the festival even begins.
