Mauritz Altikardes is a self-proclaimed writer - more accurately an opinion machine with a keyboard - and a proud inductee of the Swedish Poker Hall of Fame, not for his skills at the table (he’s still chasing that elusive big score), but for his long-standing contributions as an enabler and supporter of grassroots poker and live events across Sweden.
When he's not creating content or traveling to poker tournaments abroad, Mauritz sharpens his competitive edge in a local home game variant called Chicago - a game he suspiciously wins a bit too often. Some call it strategy. Others call it a hustle. He calls it rent.
Outside of poker, Mauritz is obsessed with padel, football and the beautiful chaos of strategic thinking - whether it’s applied to games, business, or convincing himself that 7-2 offsuit is playable “just this once”.
His writing blends humor, observation, and a love for the stories that live between the lines - always curious, slightly irreverent, and never far from the next bluff (on or off the page).
