WPT Global Update: Server Pauses, Satellites to Texas, and a Big Dublin Bonus

Plenty has been happening over at WPT Global, and if you’ve been following along, you’ll know there’s more than just one moving part to keep track of. While the Crazy Freerolls take a brief pause, several other promotions and qualifiers are in full swing, including a shot at Texas glory and a Golden Ticket worth €100K in Dublin.

The massive turnout for the Crazy Freerolls came with a small catch: server strain. So, WPT Global has temporarily suspended the freerolls while it upgrades the backend to handle traffic more smoothly. The relaunch is already scheduled for October 1, and nothing previously earned will be lost.

Players will keep all their points, rewards, and progress. When the freerolls return, everyone will also get free entry into a $100K Super Crazy Freeroll, with $20K reserved for the winner.

All other wagering promos are still active. Players can still earn freeroll tickets through referrals, and affiliates have already been credited for Week 2 with over $30,000 paid out.

The satellites to the WPT Prime Lodge Championship in Texas are still running strong. Every Sunday, WPT Global is guaranteeing two $2,100 packages, which include the $1,100 buy-in and $1,000 for travel expenses.

The real kicker is the $100,000 bonus. Win your package on WPT Global, then win the WPT Prime Lodge Championship in Austin this October, and WPT Global will add $100K on top of your prize money.

Players under 21 can still win a package but will need to transfer it if they can’t meet the age requirement to play live in the US.

The Golden Bounty format continues with boosted guarantees. The prize pool now stands at $250,000, with daily Day 1 flights and a Sunday final. The event has remained popular due to its structure and bounty-driven format, and the increased guarantee adds more weight to the final tables.

In Ireland, WPT Global has announced a three-year partnership with the International Poker Open (IPO) - a long-standing event on the Irish poker calendar. As part of that deal, players who qualify via WPT Global now have a shot at an additional €100,000 bonus.

Twenty “Golden Ticket” qualifiers will be selected via WPT Global satellites. If any of them go on to win the IPO Dublin Main Event in October, WPT Global will award them a €100,000 bonus, on top of whatever they win.

This year’s IPO Dublin runs October 21–27 at the Bonnington Hotel, with a €350 Main Event buy-in and six live starting flights, plus an online Day 1 hosted on WPT Global on October 19.

The full schedule includes a €550 High Roller, an €1,100 Super High Roller, an 8-Game event, and a Seniors tournament.
