From ¥11 to ¥800K: WPT Global Opens Satellite Route to New Super High Roller
- Asia Super High Roller Championship runs Sundays with ¥800,000 guaranteed.

- At least ¥200,000 is guaranteed to the weekly winner.
A ¥5,300 high roller normally places a fairly simple decision in front the player: pay the buy-in or watch from the rail.
WPT Global added a few more variables to the equation.
Its new Asia Super High Roller Championship runs every Sunday at 12:05 UTC with ¥800,000 guaranteed, but the qualifying schedule begins much lower. Satellite trees starting at ¥11 run throughout the week and eventually feed players into the ¥5,300 championship.
At least ¥200,000 is guaranteed to the weekly winner.
Three Routes Into the ¥5,300 Championship
WPT Global has launched three main qualifying ladders.

The distinction between the regular and Mega qualifiers comes down to the number of seats.
Standard satellites generally guarantee one entry into the championship, while Mega Satellites guarantee at least two ¥5,300 seats.
Other step tournaments are also spread through the qualifying tree, with buy-ins including ¥30, ¥55, ¥110, ¥288 and ¥550 before the final jump into the weekly high roller.
What Players Qualify For
The target is a one-day, eight-max No-Limit Hold'em tournament. Players start with 100,000 chips, equivalent to 200 big blinds, while levels last 15 minutes.
